How It Works
Every dog we look after has a name and a list of what they need. You pay for one thing on that list.
Meet a dog
Point your phone at the tag on a dog's collar and their page opens — no app, no account. Or look through the dogs we are caring for right now.
Pick one thing they need
Each need is listed on its own, with what it costs: a rabies shot, a week of food, a blood panel. You can also give to a whole stage of a dog's care and let the rescue decide the order.
Pay by card or Bitcoin
Card payments are handled by Square and charged in Canadian dollars, whatever currency the page shows you. Bitcoin goes through BTCPay. Giving every month is possible too, and that one needs an account.
Your money goes to that thing
What you give is allocated to the need you chose, not to a general pot. Once a need is fully covered it stops accepting money.
You hear when it is done
The rescue marks the need complete once the vet has done it, and we email you. The update and the photographs are on the dog's own page.
Care comes in four stages
Vaccines
Rabies, distemper, deworming, microchip.
Operations
Neutering, and whatever surgery they need.
Shelter and conditioning
Food, a bed, and learning that people are kind.
Adoption
Paperwork, a crate, and a seat on a plane.
The first three are what your money pays for. Adoption is not funded here: the adopter is the importer of record and pays the paperwork, the crate and the flight directly.
If you would rather give time
Driving a dog to the vet, a feeding round on the beach, fostering for a few nights, or carrying a dog home on your own flight. All of it helps as much as money does.
